Abstract

The first issue of Volume 3 of the International Journal of Neurology (1962) was dedicated to headache. It opened with editorials in Spanish and English and included a memorial tribute to Harold G. Wolff (1898–1962), one of the foremost pioneers in the scientific study of pain and headache. The articles explored the pathophysiology of headache, systemic and vascular causes including migraine, and headaches originating from cervical, otolaryngologic, and ocular conditions. Further contributions analyzed psychogenic factors, electroencephalographic findings in migraine, and therapeutic strategies for chronic headache. The issue concluded with a news section, reflecting the journal’s commitment to integrating clinical, physiological, and psychological perspectives on neurological disorders.
